Duo Mene is a violin-viola duo that isn’t afraid to step outside the boundaries of traditional classical string repertoire. The duo brings a breath of moody string music to the festival, with their own arrangements of some much beloved music related to the sea, and as a special treat to the audience on Bossa jazz festival also some latin music and a pinch of jazz! The core of Duo Mene is the friendship of violinist Lotta Ahlbeck and violist Hele Dumell, the spectrum of emotions you can experience in a minimalist instrumental setup, the ebb and flow of melodies, the meeting point between classical music and the outside world.
